Grizzlies find their groove


One night after scoring just two runs in a loss at Las Vegas, the Fresno Grizzlies found their offense again for the series finale.

Fresno rapped out 18 hits, including six more home runs, in an 18-5 Pacific Coast League rout of the 51s.

Preston Tucker homered and drove in five runs. Jon Kemmer and A.J. Reed each hit two home runs. Kemmer also drove in five.

The Grizzlies scored 61 runs in the four game series.

Fresno has won nine of the last ten to pull within one game of first place Reno.
