'Dogs avoid Hawaii sweep


The Fresno State baseball team defeated Hawaii, 4-1, to wrap up a weekend non-conference series.

With the win, the Bulldogs avoided a sweep at the hands of the Rainbow Warriors.

Fresno State took the lead with a two-run rally in the first inning.

Jeremiah Burks doubled the first run home, then came around to score the second on a single by J.T. Arruda.

Arruda also drove in the Bulldogs' third run with a base hit in the third inning.

Fresno State opens its final Mountain West series Friday night, hosting UNLV.
