Foxes end in tie with LA Galaxy II
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) —
A week ago, the Fresno FC played their first game ever, losing 3-2 to the Las Vegas Lights.
On Saturday, the Foxes got their first ever point.
Fresno FC hosted LA Galaxy II at Chukchansi Park in front of a crowd of 6,128.
World Champion Jose Ramirez was on hand for the coin toss before heading back to his hometown of Avenal for a parade on Sunday.
It was deja vu all over again for Head Coach Adam Smith as the Foxes gave up a goal in the first three minutes again, and off a corner kick, something Smith said his team had to be better at.
The Foxes got a break later in the first half when a hard challenge results in a red card, setting the Galaxy down a man the rest of the match.
Los Zorros had a ton of equalizer chances that came close but finally, in the 75th minute, Alex Cooper made the score 1-1, which would be the final score.
Fresno FC plays its first road game on Wednesday against the Seattle Sounders.
