Man murdered identified in east Bakersfield shooting

UPDATE (6/9/2022)

A man shot and killed in east Bakersfield on June 3 has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Jamari Deshawn Darden, 29, of Bakersfield was found by BPD officers in the 700 block of Brundage Lane just before midnight last Friday.

There is no known suspect information at this time.

Eliot Moore, 25 was arrested as a suspect in the murder.

A man was arrested for a shooting that killed a man Friday night in east Bakersfield.

Officers were called to the 700 block of Brundage Lane around 11:56 pm following a report of a shooting

Officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died before he could be taken to the hospital.

During the course of an investigation, officers arrested Eliot Moore, 25 on murder charges.
