VISALIA, Cali. (FOX26) — The Visalia Police Department confirmed one of its own has been arrested.
On February 10th, the Visalia Police Department was contacted by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office after it learned of reports of domestic violence that happened in Madera County.
The Visalia Police Department cooperated with Madera officials in this investigation.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued a wanted notice for Visalia Police Officer Jarrett Dunham, who was contacted by Visalia PD and ordered to turn himself in.
Officer Dunham was arrested and was booked into the Tulare County Jail.
Dunham was already on Administrative Leave and will remain on that status pending an internal investigation.
He also faces potential criminal charges related to the Madera County incident.
The Visalia Police Department says it cannot comment any further on the case as it is a personnel matter.
Information from the Visalia Police Department's Facebook page says Officer Dunham was hired on Jan. 27, 2017.
The post also said he is a native of Albany, Georgia and honorably served in the United Stated Navy for 9 years.
