Visalia family ask for one last ride for dad who died of cancer
The family of a Visalia man who died of cancer last month, is now asking for a final request for his funeral.
Alejandro Valadez' daughter, Teresa Reyna, posted on social media that her dad was a classic car lover and master mechanic. She said her 48-year-old father died on Nov. 21 after a three-year battle with cancer.
But the family wanted to give him one final ride from the funeral chapel to the cemetery.
Reyna said "Our father loved his classic cars and it would mean the world to us to be able to allow him to have one last ride."
She said Thursday morning, hot rods, custom and classic car owners will line up at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel in Visalia. The memorial begins at 11 a.m. Then she said her father will be buried at the Visalia Cemetery.
