Two men rob Subway Restaurant in South Fresno

Police say two men robbed the Subway restaurant at 5751 S. Elm Ave. in Easton.

FCSO say as soon as they entered the restaurant, they jumped over the counter.

One suspect stood by the cash register, while the other went to the back room to look for employees, officers say.

The suspect found a worker and threatened to shoot him while ordering him to open the register, police say.

Police also tell us, the employee opened the register and allowed one of the suspects to take the cash. During this time, the other suspect returned to the back room and took a stack of mail from a desk. Both suspects fled out the front door and the employee called the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to make a report.

Police say both suspects wore hooded sweatshirts. They appear to be teenagers. The smaller suspect is Hispanic and the larger suspect is African American or Hispanic. Neither of them were seen with a weapon and the employee was not injured.
