One day each year is designated on the calendar for special recognition of our military veterans. However, we want all who have served - and the families that have shared in the sacrifices - to know that we are thankful for their service each and every day.

Fresno Veterans Day Parade will take place on Monday, November 12th in downtown Fresno. Dignitaries and presentations begin at 10:15 a.m. in front of Fresno City Hall, followed by opening ceremonies at 11:00 a.m. with the parade beginning at 11:11 a.m. www.fresnovdp.org

Clovis Veterans Day Events at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District 7-11:00 a.m. Pancake Breakfast open to the public at VFW Post 3225, Independence Room. 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. there is a car show, kids activities, booths and live music at the Last Chance Saloon on 4th st. Veterans Parkway & West Side Park. Also a Veterans photo exhibit and documentaries in the Veterans Room and Auditorium. 11:00 a.m. Patriotic Concert performed by the Clovis Community Band, Liberty Ballroom. 6:00 p.m. Veterans Day Dinner and Program, Liberty Ballroom. www.cvmdistrict.org

Chowchilla Veterans Commemoration Ceremony November 11, 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Veterans Memorial Park, 600 W. Robertson Blvd. to pay tribute to the men and women that have given their service to our country. The public is encouraged to attend. The event is co-sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars & VFW Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion. Refreshments are provided by Soroptimist International of Chowchilla. ci.chowchilla.ca.us
