Fresno police say officers are now keeping a close watch on school zones as school is about to start up again.

Chief Jerry Dyer says traffic officers will be paying very close attention to more than 90 schools in our area starting this month.

Chief Dyer says this is all in an effort to keep children safe.

Lots of students will be walking near campuses before and after school, so drivers are being asked to stay focused in those areas.

Remember, speed limits in school zones are set at 25 miles per hour max.

By the way, the bus route schedule for the Fresno Unified School District has been announced.
