Skeletal Remains are Debbie Hawk, Say Sources

Debbie Hawk

Two separate sources tell Fox 26, "The search is finally over." Dental records confirmed skeletal remains are the missing Debbie Hawk. There is a news conference scheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 am from the Kings County Sheriff's office. A farmer at 16 and Laurel avenues was alerted by one of his workers they had found a bone in the field. They went to the area and dug around a bit and found a jaw bone with a filing in a tooth. The men knew it was human and called the Sheriff's Office. Investigators spent two days scouring the large field for evidence. It's in an area of a place called Jacobs Slough. The farmer had not worked the field since 2008.

Dave Hawk, Debbie's husband, was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison with no parole. His then attorney says this opens many doors to possibly a new trial.
