Missing at-risk man found safe in Bakersfield

George Simms was last seen Sunday in Visalia. He is 83 years old and suffers from Dementia and Alzheimer's.

UPDATE: The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says a missing at-risk man has been found safe in Bakersfield.

Deputies say George Simms was last seen Sunday morning. He was found in Bakersfield Monday morning.


The Tulare County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help to find a missing, at-risk 83-year-old man.

George Simms has been missing since Sunday morning.

He was seen leaving the 39200 block of Road 172 in Visalia around 10:00 a.m.

He was driving a blue or grey 2010 Honda CRV, with a California disabled plate 4426WDP.

Simms was wearing a dark blue shirt and blue pants.

Family members say he was going to visit his wife at Kaweah Delta Rehab Center near Akers and Cypress.

He never arrived.

He suffers from Dementia and Alzheimer's, and relies on medication.
