UPDATED: Man wanted for Caruthers jewelry store robbery turns himself in

UPDATE 8/7/2017: Fresno County Sheriff's deputies tell Fox26 News that Crescenciano Moreno turned himself into authorities Monday. Investigators say he felt pressure after his name and photo was released last week and that he contacted an attorney and surrendered to deputies.

He has been booked into jail.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fresno Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for Crescenciano Moreno. Investigators say he was involved in the robbery of the "Joyeria Krystal" jewelry store in Caruthers.

Moreno is described as:

  • 34 years old
  • 5'9" Tall
  • 200 lbs.
  • Brown eyes
  • Black hair
  • Goes by the nickname "Chris"
  • Frequents the area of Fresno and Reedley

Earlier this month two men with guns went into the store, tied up the woman who was working and took jewelry and cash, according to investigators.

Detectives say they took off in a black Mercedes Benz with tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise and cash.

One of the men wanted for the robbery was Jorge Albert Aquino who was arrested in Fresno. When detectives searched his home they found, "an AR-15 style handgun, ammunition, cash and cocaine (46 grams or 1.6 ounces)."
