Rescued dogs get help from Pints for Pitties event

Pints for Pits fundraiser at Gazebo Gardens in Fresno

An local animal rescue group will now be able to help even more dogs in need after a great event over the weekend.

People bid on dozens of items at the "Pints for Pitties" event held at Gazebo Gardens in Fresno.

Proceeds from the event benefited Fresno Bully Rescue.

The group says fundraisers like this are crucial for organizations that depend on the public's support.

Director of Fresno Bully Rescue, Bridgette Booth, said, "The funds raised from events like this goes directly to our vet bills, helping dogs in need, helping spay and neuter, getting ready for adoption and forever homes."

Fresno Bully Rescue says it has rescued more than 2500 dogs in the past ten years.

The next big event for Fresno Bully Rescue is the annual Bully BOO! Walk on Sunday, October 21.
