Police: Kidnapping caught on camera in Delano not real

Possible kidnapping caught on camera in Delano

UPDATE: The Delano Police Department says a kidnapping that was caught on camera was not real.

It says that the two people who grabbed the "victim" in the video were friends simulating a kidnapping.

Police say all parties are safe and no charges have been filed.


Delano, Calif. (FOX26) — Delano Police Department says it is investigating a kidnapping.

We're told that kidnapping happened on Wednesday, at the 1400 block of Cecil Avenue.

A surveillance video posted by Delano Police on its Facebook page shows what looks like a kidnapping caught on camera.

That video shows what looks like two, possibly three people, getting out of a van, and grabbing a male juvenile, then throwing him inside.

That juvenile has not been identified but we're told he might go to Delano High School or Cecil Middle School.
