The search is now on for two thieves responsible for thousands of dollars in damages to a taco truck. The owner of the restaurant says he is now out a power generator has a big mess on his hands.

Two thieves were caught on surveillance cameras snooping inside of Tacos El Super in Northwest Fresno. The owner, Rigo Villa says they were looking for the register just three hours after they closed Monday but fortunately didn't find any cash.

"My father was able to pick up the register that night. So, they were unsuccessful in taking the last nights sales," said Villa.

Villa showed FOX 26 where the thieves broke the hinges off the covering for the power generator.

"In my mind, they have seen how we operate here. Maybe order some tacos and kind of scope out the generator to see what kind of nuts and bolts they needed. They were in and out in about 45 minutes," said Villa.

He says the power generator is worth about $5,000. He also says he was forced to shut down the food truck for two days for rewiring, costing him business.

"They just don't understand how hard it is for us to get back to normal. To them it is just a generator. It is not just a generator, its all of the wires. Everything has a purpose and now this is a big puzzle and we have to put it back together," said Villa.

If you think you recognize those guys call Valley Crime Stoppers at 559-498- STOP.
