Man in motorhome parked near Fresno City Hall making threats
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) —
A man in a motorhome parked near the Fresno City Hall was making threats and would not come out, police say.
They say a woman told them the man handed her a note saying he had a propane tank inside and was going to blow up the motorhome.
Fresno police blocked the streets off in the area of R Street and Mariposa Streets.
The man was very agitated, saying his wife has cancer and was being treated at Community Regional Medical Center.
Police eventually got them man to calm down and were able to get him to surrender.
The man was checked out by EMS and taken into custody.
Another man and a woman came out of the motorhome and were also checked out by EMS.
The woman turned out to be the first man's wife who was being treated for cancer.
It's still unclear why the man was making threats.
