Felon arrested for illegal possession of guns and ammunition


The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says a man was arrested after an investigation uncovered that he was a felon in possession of guns, ammunition, and large capacity magazines.

According to deputies, they were called out to the 33000 block of Lodge Road in tollhouse, less than a mile away from Sierra High School, for reports of an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived a man claimed that his friend, Bryan Stark, 42, accused him of stealing and pointed a gun at his head threatening to kill him.

Deputies went to Stark's property and spoke with him about the incident. After interviewing him, deputies obtained a search warrant to look inside the barn Stark and his girlfriend Jeana McMahon, 39, were living in. Deputies found a total of 24 guns, which included handguns and rifles. As well as large capacity magazines and ammunition. Deputies also found several of the guns in a safe hidden in the floor of the barn.

Stark and McMahon were arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail. Stark faces multiple felony charges related to being a felon in possession of guns, ammunition and large capacity magazines. McMahon was later released from jail after receiving a misdemeanor citation for obstructing an officer’s investigation.
