K9 Officer takes down man despite being punched several times

The Visalia Police Department says a man was arrested after he broke into a Wells Fargo and refused to leave.

It happened Tuesday morning at the Wells Fargo on S. Mooney.

When officers arrived they found Juan Padilla-Jimenez walking around the bank with bricks in his hands and under the influence of an unknown drug.

Officers say Jimenez used a large rock and threw it through a glass door to the business. When he refused to leave the bank a K9 officer was sent in. Police say Jimenez punched the K9 officer several times but the police dog didn't let go.

Jimenez was arrest and later booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for Burglary, Vandalism, Assault on a Police K9 and Resisting Arrest with Force.
