Investigation nabs dozens of gang members in Calwa

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office and MAGEC team announced the results of an investigation they're saying focused on a particular street gang in Calwa.

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims said Friday that since the beginning of the year warrants have been served at 34 homes, 47 people have been arrested, and 30 guns have been recovered. They say the investigation was kickstarted by a carjacking and rape case in late 2015. A 17 year old was tried as an adult and sentenced to seven years in jail while 20 year old Albert Gallardo is in jail awaiting his court hearings.
