Town Hall: Preventing Teen Suicide

Live Town Hall: Preventing Teen Suicide

If a child you love is talking about suicide would you know what to do?

Preventing Teen Suicide is what our next town hall meeting is about.

FOX26 News and the Fresno County Suicide Prevention Collaborative present the Your Voice, Your Future Town Hall: Preventing Teen Suicide.

Watch the full 90-minute broadcast below.

The town hall took place on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, located at 808 Fourth St. in Clovis.

This town hall meeting is aimed at providing information about preventing teen suicide, advising teens about resources available, getting answers from experts, and helping teens and parents be more aware early warning signs.

Our five-member panel of experts selected by Fresno Cares was made up of mental health professionals who took questions asked in-person, sent by text, or tweets posted to the FOX26 Twitter page.

The event took place in front of a live audience.

The live event was moderated by Kim Stephens, FOX26 News anchor on "Great Day."

The FOX26 Town Hall is made possible thanks to Kings View Central Valley Suicide Prevention Hotline and County of Fresno Department of Behavioral Health.

We would also like to thank Clovis Unified School District, Central Unified School District, Fresno Unified School District, and Fresno County Office of Education.
