Crowd rallies Roe v. Wade at Fresno City Hall

A large crowd gathered to rally in support of pro-abortion at Fresno City Hall Saturday morning.

There were people with signs supporting their beliefs following Friday’s Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade which has been in place for nearly 50 years.

Protests and rallies have broken out all across the country in favor or against the controversial issue.

FOX26 spoke with one pro-abortion volunteer who says this decision no longer affects her, but she does have daughters and nieces who will be impacted.

According to Maggie Raymond, the overturning will also kickstart a slippery slope to other fundamental rulings.

“The issue with the 14th amendment the right to medical privacy that is a very big thing regardless of what side you fall on, male or female, left or right. Those are important things we need to be able to have and trust with our health provider that is now going to be put into question,” says Raymond

She also said that regardless of what side people stood on, they felt the unity and gives her hope.

An event goer on the other side of the aisle said he showed up to have an open conversation on the topic. According to him, he wants to hear their reasoning and be able to rebuttal with facts on how many babies will be saved.
