An ambulance that served people in the Central Valley is now on its way to a new home in Mexico.
American Ambulance donated one from its fleet to the city of Naucalpan, located just outside Mexico City.

The Fresno area Hispanic Foundation recently visited that area and saw a major need. It says the city has about one million people with only four ambulances in rotation.
This translates into an average response time of 12 minutes.

A representative from Naucalpan was present during the ceremony on Friday and will be driving the ambulance to Mexico.
