Air Force One for former President George H.W. Bush on display in Atwater

You can see a presidential plane that the late President George H. W. Bush flew on right here in the Central Valley.

The Castle Air Museum gave us a look inside a former Air Force Two, that also served as Air Force One on occasion.

The CEO says President George H.W. Bush flew on it as vice president in the 80's and then they believe he flew on here as president during his term between 1989 and 1992.

Valley Congressman Jim Costa released a statement on Wednesday regarding President Bush's leadership and legacy saying:

Today we celebrate the life of President George Herbert Walker Bush who served our nation with great distinction, honor, and success. We thank you for all you have given us and your example of what true leadership means. A grateful nation can never ever say thank you enough. God bless you, President Bush. May you rest in peace, for your mission here on Earth is complete, and we are the better for your efforts.

Valley veterans also remembered President Bush.

The Veterans of American Legion Post 509 hosted an Honor Guard and a 21 Gun Salute in honor of the 41st president.
