A Fresno County Sheriff's K9 retires from the force
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26 NEWS) —
A Fresno County Sheriff's K9 officer and K9 are stepping down after a freak accident left "Tango" with a pinched nerve in his neck.
Deputy Hooper announced on Facebook on Thursday that Tango hurt his neck while chasing a kong toy over the weekend.
He said although Tango is 90% recovered it was in both of their best interest that Tango retire.
Deputy Hooper says Tango has done everything ever asked of him all for a simple reward or praise.
In the post, he went on to say it has been a pleasure to serve the citizen's of Fresno County for the past 12 years and wants to thank everyone for their support.
