Disney releases a brand new look at "Star Wars Land"
"Stay on target!"
Disney has released a first look at the new Star Wars land set for a 2019 grand opening at Disneyland in Anaheim!
This model, on display at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, shows off the attractions and sights visitors will have at the park, including a full-size Millenium Falcon, which as we know "may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts."
Tonight, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek revealed the jaw-dropping model of the two Star Wars-themed lands coming to Walt Disney World Resort, in Central Florida, and Disneyland Resort, in Southern California, in 2019. The unveiling took place during a special media reception at the D23 Expo 2017 in Anaheim, California.
The epic model details the two E-ticket attractions that will anchor the 14-acre lands - the largest single-themed land expansion in Disney history. One of the attractions will offer guests a chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission. The other will put guests right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
The model, on display at the Disney Parks pavilion at the D23 Expo 2017, gives visitors and up-close look at what's to come on this never-before-seen planet. Also in the pavilion, guests will see models, artwork and media that provide a first-ever look at some of the locations, starships, creatures and droids guests will encounter when they visit this new planet.
Good news, guests don't have to wait until 2019 to be immersed in the Star Wars galaxy. From special character encounters to fan-favorite attractions like Star Tours - The Adventures Continue and interactive entertainment like Jedi Training - Trials of the Temples, guests can experience Star Wars stories at Disney parks and resorts around the world.
