What's In Season? 2/4 - Honey

Bees bringing nectar back to the beehive

Ryan Jacobsen from the Fresno County Farm Bureau visited Great Day to talk about what's in season... honey.

Bees are important for life around the world and especially in the Central Valley where agriculture depends on them.

Bees collect nectar and move it from plant, which pollinates the plants, before heading back to the hive where they distribute it into the honeycomb.

As the simple sugars stored in the honeycomb evaporates, creating the sweet thick liquid known as honey.
