'We Are In This Together' event Friday in Fresno

An event that promotes relationship building between our local law enforcement and community is happening in Fresno Friday, August 19th.

The event is called “We’re In This Together” and will take place at Great American Car Wash at 3854 N. Blackstone Ave. in Fresno.

The event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. and will feature speakers from members of the community and law enforcement.

The organizer of the event, A.J. Rassamni, visited Great Day on Thursday to talk about the event.

  • Don & Faith Klein – Veteran who had his stolen classic cars returned to him
  • Arnold Oeschger – CCW holder who held a burglar at gunpoint until deputies arrived
  • Nina Alvarado – 16 year old Clovis West student rescued by deputies from the San Joaquin River
  • Christina Smith - Woman who crash her car and was pulled to safety by a deputy passing by the area.
  • Samantha Gonzalez – 10 year old girl who received a bike from the Sheriff’s Office to replace the one she had stolen a few days after her birthday
