A very special event will be held this week in downtown Fresno.

The Tree of Life Café & Bakery, located at 2139 Kern St., will let Fresno firefighters takeover the kitchen for a Champ Camp fundraiser.

Jim De La Vega spent the morning at Tree of Life to get a preview.

Fresno firefighters will be preparing delicious dishes and serving the guests on Friday, May 18th beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Fresno Fire Chief's Foundation and help send kids to Champ Camp!

Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s Champ Camp is a week-long, residential summer camp experience for child burn survivors ages 5-17, who have been treated at California hospitals or are current residents of California.
