Teaching Assistant Arrested on Sex Charges Involving Student
SELMA, Calif. (KMPH) —
A former Selma Unified School District employee has been arrested on sex charges involving a student.
Jordan Williams, 24, was arrested on two counts of annoying or molesting a minor.
Williams used to work for the district as a teaching assistant.
Police say Williams had sex with the student.
Williams was booked into Fresno County Jail but posted bond Saturday morning.
Williams' arrest comes just days after two other Valley school district employees were also arrested on sex charges involving minors.
Thirty-six-year-old Matthew Varpness, a teacher at Exeter High School, was arrested on 15 felony counts Tuesday, including possession of child porn and lewd acts upon a child.
And on Monday, 26-year-old Jonathon Urias, a band teacher at Tipton Elementary School, was arrested for sexual molestation of a minor and showing child porn to a minor.
