A 24-year-old mother just found out her daughter has a deadly brain tumor.

Kristyn Burton's daughter Arianna is just six years old.

"Fourth of July, I started noticing she was walking a little different - just a little different. But she had a bite on her leg, so I thought, 'Oh, it might be a spider bite, she'll be okay.' But then July 20th, my daughter stopped walking completely."

Arianna has DIPG -- an incurable, fast-paced tumor.

"Out of nowhere, she just stopped walking, and then stopped talking, and then stopped, and then stopped crying, and stopped eating. There was so much. There was so much that was so fast."

Burton says doctors told her it has a 1% survival rate.

"They only gave me six months with her"

Burton wants to make the most of that time, but options for things to do with kids right now are limited.

She contacted the Make A Wish Foundation, but says the things the foundation would normally organize, like trips to Disney or big parties are all out of the question right now because of the coronavirus.

So, a local off-roading group called the Jerk Pirates donated money and coordinated a beach trip for Arianna.

"You realize that most people want to help, they just don't know how to go about it," said Danny Hensley, who helped coordinate the vacation. "You kind of need a little circle where they can stay in touch with that so they can be a part of things."

"And that's where social media is a great tool," added Danny's wife Lea. "There are some negatives of social media, but there are some real positives. it's brought together a great group."

Arianna got a pedicure, a restaurant donated a free dinner, and she's enjoying a weekend out on the waves.

"I was hoping to create memories for the whole family and just have something for them to remember for the rest of their lives."

The Jerk Pirates also made sure Burton's other two daughters, who are 1 and 2 years old, got presents as well, so they gave them gift baskets.

Arianna is supposed to get a biopsy in San Francisco, then take part in a clinical trial.

All of that is expensive, and her mom doesn't have her own car to get her there.

Burton has a GoFundMe page set up to try to help with all of that.
