Valley QB changes course
Clovis West quarterback Adrian Martinez has decided on a new course for his future. The four-star recruit has now given a verbal commitment to Nebraska.
A personal visit to his Fresno home by Huskers' head coach Scott Frost sealed the deal.
Martinez, one of the most highly-recruited dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation, had previously given a verbal commitment to Tennessee.
Before that, he was expecting to play at Cal.
Martinez did not play a single down during his senior season with the Golden Eagles because he was recovering from shoulder surgery.
During his junior year, Martinez accounted for some four-thousand yards of offense and 41 touchdowns.
He plans to graduate early so he can enroll at Nebraska in time for spring football practice.
