Hawaii QB a fan of Derek Carr
Hawaii quarterback Dru Brown admits he thought about playing for Fresno State while he was a high school star in Northern California.
The problem is, the Bulldogs' previous coaching staff did not offer that opportunity.
Brown says Fresno State caught his attention because of the success of the team's quarterback, Derek Carr.
He liked the way he handled himself on and off the field, and still admires the quarterback who is now starting for the NFL's Oakland Raiders.
Brown and his Rainbow Warriors are preparing for the 50th game in the history of the rivalry with Fresno State.
It is set for Saturday night in Honolulu.
