Grizzlies' bats come alive

The Fresno Grizzlies rapped-out a season-high 17 hits Thursday night.

The result was a 10-3 win over Las Vegas in their Pacific Coast League game at Chukchansi Park.

Fresno got off to a fast start, scoring five runs in the first inning. The Grizzlies then broke open the game by scoring four more in the eighth.

Derek Fisher, A.J. Reed and Preston Tucker each had three hits for the Grizzlies. Reed knocked in three runs.

With the victory, Fresno improves to 7-8 on the season. Edison Frias was the winning pitcher, evening his record at 1-1.

The series continues Friday night in downtown Fresno.
