Devastating fires in wine country
NAPA, Calif., —
Several fires are burning in wine country and the Central Valley is sending firefighters to help put out the fires in the North Bay. The Central Valley sent at least 23 engines to the fires part of the California Office of Emergency Services System.
Bottles of wine that could've been sold for hundreds of dollars are just junk after winery a North of Napa burned to the ground. Tables where visitors once marveled at beautiful hillsides, now empty and standing next to utter destruction.
West of there in Sonoma, Gulach Bundschu Winery was threatened by a wildfire creeping down.
Nickel and Nickel Winery closed its doors but took to social media to let people know its Oakville winery didn't burn. It also said it's praying for the safety and protection of all.
It wasn't just wineries affected by these fires homes are also gone. Monday night, evacuations were being ordered in parts of Solano county east of Napa.
