Santa to thank for winning $250,000 lotto ticket in S.C.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WPDE) - Santa Claus left a winning lottery ticket in a Murrells Inlet mother's stocking this Christmas.
The family didn't scratch the Payday ticket until after Christmas, but when they did were shocked to win $250,000, according to a release from lottery officials.
"I must have been a good girl," the mother said in the news release.
Markette Store #21 at 4584 Highway 17 S. in Murrells Inlet sold the winning ticket.
For selling the claimed ticket, the store received a commission of $2,500.
One top prize of $250,000 remains in the Payday game, at odds of one in 696,000.
