Tulare teenager passes away following five-year Leukemia fight

Fox26 News featured Trenity Monsibais in December, after her entire school made her a special video to wish her a Merry Christmas. She was in hospice care and was no longer able to attend school.

A Tulare teenager has passed away after valiantly fighting Leukemia.

Trenity Monsibais battled Leukemia for five years.

Fox26 News featured Trenity in December, after her entire school – students and staff at Los Tules Middle School- made her a special Christmas video.

Some sang songs, others shared their admiration for the 14-year-old.

Trenity said the love and laughter from the video was a great Christmas gift.

Her father tells Fox26 News she passed away Wednesday morning.

Funeral services are still pending.

Our thoughts are with her family.

Her family has established a gofundme page to raise money for funeral expenses.

Friends are also holding fundraisers Monday, March 20th.

Food plates of shredded beef, rice, salad and a roll will be sold for $10 at 628 W. Lindquist in Kingsburg. Lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dinner will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
