Police: Woman tries to kill her boyfriend, then commits suicide
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26 NEWS) —
Fresno Police are investigating an attempted murder-suicide at an apartment complex in Northeast Fresno.
Police say a 38-year-old woman shot her 36-year-old boyfriend early Saturday morning at the Lexington Apartments on N. Glenn Ave.
According to officers, the woman then called her family telling them what she did and her family immediately called 911.
When police arrived they heard a single gunshot from the apartment and say that's when the woman killed herself.
A short time later the boyfriend opened up the door and SWAT moved in to save him.
He was taken to CRMC and police say he has severe injuries but is doing fine.
This isn't the first time Fresno P.D. says it has gone to the apartment. Last month, officers responded to a domestic all but no one was cited or arrested in that incident.
If you have any information about this incident you are urged to call the Fresno Police Department at 559-621-2489.
