Police release name of man accused of killing unarmed security guard

Fresno Police has released the name of a man they say shot and killed an unarmed security guard at a Motel 6 on Blackstone on Thursday.

Police say Kori Ali Muhammad shot security guard Carl Williams, 25, around 11 p.m. Williams had been trying to get a couple to follow hotel guidelines, when police say Muhammad shot him multiple times. He died at the hospital.

Muhammad is homeless and has been seen near the areas from Shaw and Marks to Bullard and Fig Garden Loop, along with areas around Fresno City College.
