Police: Other victims surface after Porterville man is arrested for sexual assault
On Tuesday evening, Porterville police arrested 37-year-old Adrian Nunez after investigators say he confessed to molesting a 10-year-old to an officer.
One day later, Wednesday afternoon, officers say a 15-year-old girl and 12-year-old girl arrived at the Porterville Police Department and reported their own sexual abuse by Nunez.
The details, found in a Porterville Police Department news release, may be considered graphic and disturbing:
Detectives interviewed the 15-year-old who stated, beginning in about 2005, Nunez began forcibly molesting, raping and oral copulating her. These incidents are alleged to have occurred 2-3 times a month and at times once a week over an 18-month period, estimating to have occurred over 200 times. The 12-year-old alleged that Nunez attempted to molest her on one occasion in 2015, however, she resisted which caused him to cease any further assault. Another 28-year-old female, also came to the Police Department, alleging that from 1995 to 2010 Nunez sexually assaulted her on several occasions at residences in Poplar.
Police say the victims are related and were afraid to report the incidents until news spread that Nunez was arrested.
Detectives say they have checked out Nunez's residence and have collected what may be "digital evidence."
