Oakhurst homicide over illegal pot grow, sheriff's office says
OAKHURST, Calif. (FOX26) —
The Madera County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide on Road 423 in Oakhurst.
Deputies responding to a call of a disturbance around 7:00 p.m. Monday found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Lifesaving measures were attempted by witnesses, deputies and fire personnel but could not save the man, later identified as 47-year-old Tim Fadgen.
Officials say Fadgen lived at the property and was in a dispute over an illegal marijuana grow on the property.
Deputies are now looking for three Hispanic men, wanted in connection with the homicide.
The three men left in a blue or green minivan.
The exact size of the marijuana grow is not yet known but deputies have recovered about 200 plants.
