NWS: Rare weak tornado caught on camera in Sanger
SANGER, Calif. (FOX26 NEWS) —
The National Weather Service says a rare weak tornado touched down in Sanger, Monday morning.
Fox26 viewer Anthony Estrada sent us some video of the tornado as it made its way through some farmland between Riverbend and Goodfellow Avenues.
NWS says what makes this rare is because there were no thunderstorms around to produce it. Also, it was classified a tornado because it actually touched the ground and stayed on the ground.
As of right now, there have been no reports of any injuries or damages to any buildings.
