Fresno P.D. releases picture of car involved in hit and run crash

UPDATE: February 14, 2018, 4:55 P.M.: The Fresno Police Department has released a picture of a car that was involved in a hit and run crash February 7th.

Police say it looks like a two-door silver hatchback with rear tinted windows and should have damage to the front end. They say the left rear taillight wasn't working at the time of the incident.

On February 7th, officers say a 33-year-old man was walking in the middle of Belmont Avenue just west of Palm when he was hit by a car.

He was taken to CRMC in critical condition.

A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the Tower District Wednesday night, according to the Fresno P.D.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at Belmont and Palm.

Police say witnesses saw the victim walking in and out on Belmont right before he was hit by a car.

Witnesses say the car made a u-turn to see what happened and then sped off.

The man who was hit was transported to CRMC in critical condition.

Police have shut down the intersection and are currently looking for a two-door silver sedan with damage to the passenger side headlight.
