Fresno's Elephant Bar has closed
The Elephant Bar and Restaurant in Fresno has closed and will not be reopening.
FOX26 News received an email early Monday morning saying the restaurant closed Sunday night and all the employees are now out of work.
In fact, one employee of 13 years said she found out via email. She also said there was no warning.
FOX26 called the corporate headquarters to confirm but the VP of operations and training, Jeff Marshall said, "I can't tell you anything. You need to email marketing."
We have emailed marketing but have yet to receive an answer.
We did go to the Fresno location in the Villaggio Shopping Center at Blackstone and Nees and found a sign on the door that reads: "We want to thank you for your patronage. We have permanently closed this location. Visit our website www.elephantbar.com for other locations. If you have questions or concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
People were already clearing the restaurant of equipment. Crews were seen loading items all morning out of the back door.
FOX26 called all the ten of the remaining locations and found two more of those were closed within the last two weeks: Downey, CA and St Louis, MO.
For those who worked at the restaurant and are now out of a job, locally owned and operated franchisee of Wendy's would like to invite you to apply.
Wendy’s has full and part-time positions for crew members and management.
