Fresno Starbucks robber found guilty
FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) —
A jury found a 30-year-old man guilty of robbing a Starbucks in Fresno.
Ryan Michael Flores was found guilty Tuesday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted robbery with personal use of a deadly or dangerous weapon.
The robbery happened July 20th at the Starbucks at North Golden State Boulevard and West Kathryn Avenue.
According to investigators, a customer sitting at a table working on his computer confronted the man. Detectives say that's the suspect stabbed the customer. The two fought and according to police, the customer was able to take the knife and stab the suspect, who later took off in a brown Ford pickup.
Police say they found Flores shortly after he left the scene. He was then taken to a hospital for his injuries and later arrested.
Flores remains behind bars in the Fresno County Jail. He faces up to five years in prison.
Flores is scheduled to be back in court on December 13 for sentencing.
