Fresno P.D. has identified the man who was shot and killed in Southeast Fresno

UPDATE: Saturday, October 14, 2017-- The Fresno Police Department has released the identity of the man who was shot and killed Friday night in Southeast Fresno.

Police say Rahman Newsome, 21, was walking in the are when he was shot at by someone in a passing car.

Newsome was shot several times and was found in the roadway on Normal Avenue.

Detectives are still looking for the car that drove away from the shooting.

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26 News) -- The Fresno Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Southeast Fresno.

Police say a man died after being shot during a drive-by shooting near Normal Avenue and Mayfair Boulevard Friday night.

Officers say the man died on the way to the hospital and they are currently looking for the shooter or shooters.
