Fighting to repeal the state gas tax hike
Organizers in San Diego are fighting to repeal the gas tax and vehicle registration fee increase that was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown back in April.
Supporters say funds generated from the increases will help improve public infrastructure.
But many are still hoping to repeal the tax and fee hikes.
Former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio said, "This is really an uprising of Californians of every stripe, every political persuasion, every single demographic because they all know the politicians are lying to us."
584,000 signatures are needed by March to put the issue on the November 2018 ballot.
