Health care donations being collected for Texas flooding survivors
A Fresno-based home health care organization is now in the process of gathering medical supplies and food for the survivors of the devastating floods in Texas.
Fresno Yosemite Health Care has rounded up more than 15,000 meals that are ready to eat, and supplies for diabetics and the elderly.
“If we all pitch in a little, we can go a long way to help them out through this hard time,” says John Mendel, the company’s Executive Director.
He is in the process of finding a trucker or convoy that is willing to deliver the supplies to the Houston area.
But he’s also calling on other home healthcare agencies to donate, and Fresno Yosemite is volunteering to be the collection site.
