Delivery woman throws package over a fence
COALINGA, Calif. (FOX26) — A package delivery went terribly wrong after the driver threw the package over a fence. The package belongs to a woman in Coalinga, she says a lot of people have had this type of experience. Now, she's filing a complaint with Amazon.
It happened Wednesday evening, Mallory Griffith's home surveillance video captured a delivery woman leaving a white van. The delivery woman then took a package out of the van and walked to Griffith's house. Things went wrong when she chucked the package over the fence and left.
After reviewing the video, Griffith was obliviously disappointed with how poorly her things were handled. Griffith says, she is getting married in March and ordered materials off Amazon to make her a garter belt.
“It could've been something expensive for the wedding that was breakable. That's not the way you do business. Amazon needs to do something about who they have deliver their stuff," said Griffith.
Griffith says a few spools in her box were damaged from the incident and had to be thrown away.
“There’s many things that she could've done differently. It was 5:02 P.M. on the time stamp,” said Griffith, who says the delivery woman could’ve at least tried to open the fence gate, but she didn’t. “I think she must have wanted to be off from work. She was trying to get the heck out of there, or maybe she just hates her job,” said Griffith.
Ontrac is the name of the delivery company that was shown on the box label. We did reached out to the company and it is looking into what happened.
“Just keep an eye out for your stuff. If you have Ontrac. UPS always does a great job. The postal service, FedX never any issues,” said Griffith.
