China Peak closes again, cites not enough snow
LAKESHORE, Calif. —
There is yet another closure this season for China Peak Mountain Resort.
Resort officials said it is temporarily closed until the resort gets more natural snow to open up the upper mountain lifts and trails. They said they're looking for 18 inches.
Resort officials say they are hopeful about a potential extended season, saying they have seen heavy snowfall in the second half of the season that can take them into April and even, May.
Officials said they will open on a moment's notice, once the area gets enough snow.
