California drivers have been ranked the worst drivers in the United States for 2017, that's according to a study by QuoteWizard, a website for comparing car insurance.

You may be wondering how QuoteWizard determined our state has the worst drivers.

Well, during a recent study the website found that five of the top 10 cities with the worst drivers are located in California.

And the city holding the top honor is Sacramento.

QuoteWizard also found that California had an increase in citations and DUIs which also helped drive our state to the number one spot in terms of bad rivers.

In fact, QuoteWizard reports California also set the worst standard in the U.S. for DUIs on its rankings.

Last year, California was ranked second.
